What is Lymphoma?
Lymphoma is a type of cancer that starts in cells of the lymphatic system which is part of the body’s immune system.
When an individual is diagnosed with lymphoma, the lymphocytes turn into cancerous cells that start to grow uncontrollably. These cells move throughout the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is spread to a wide range that includes lymph nodes, spleen, thymus gland, and bone marrow. An affected lymphatic system has the potential of causing harm to different organs and the immune system.
