What is Sarcoma? 

 

A sarcoma is a rarely seen malignant tumor that can develop in bone and soft tissues including fat, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, deep skin tissues, and fibrous tissues that surround bones and joints. Sarcoma can affect adults, children, and teens.

What are the Types of Sarcoma?

Soft Tissue Sarcomas

Soft tissue sarcomas are a type of cancer that begins in the muscle or other connective tissues of the body such as arms, legs, chest, or abdomen. Soft tissue tumors can occur in children (“Rhabdomyosarcoma”) but commonly occurs in adults. There are more than 75 different subtypes of soft tissue sarcomas. Angiosarcoma, desmoplastic small round cell tumors, Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), Leiomyosarcoma, Liposarcoma, and Rhabdomyosarcoma are the most known types of soft tissue sarcomas

 

 

What are The Symptoms of Sarcoma? 

 

Symptoms change due to the tumor’s location but the pain is the most common sarcoma symptom. Long-lasting bone pain or swelling in the arm or leg that gets worse at night and/or difficulty with normal movement are the symptoms that may be realized during stages.

  • The presence of a painless lump,
